Colleen Martens, LCSW, QS is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida. Colleen graduated from Fordham University in New York, NY with her Master’s Degree in Social Work, a concentration in Children and Families as well as a Certification in Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Colleen has extensive experience and training providing individual, group and family therapy with children, adolescents and adults. She specializes in the treatment of children and families that have experienced violence, abuse or another traumatic event and are subsequently experiencing symptoms associated with acute or traumatic stress. In addition, Colleen also has a history of working with children and adults experiencing distress associated with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, divorce and co-parenting issues, foster care and adoption, behavioral dysregulation and adjustment issues. Colleen uses a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities including, but not limited to: trauma focused and cognitive behavioral/cognitive processing therapy, play therapy, family therapy, supportive therapy and solution focused therapy.

Colleen is passionate about her work and helping her clients achieving their specific goals. She is also committed to giving back to the social work profession and enjoys providing clinical supervision to other therapists who aspire to help the children and families in our community.
