Ismary Lopez is a graduate student intern from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is currently working on obtaining her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in December 2015. Ismary is under the direct supervision of Diana Salazar, LCSW-S, RPT.

Ismary is currently providing individual psychotherapy at Sunshine State Counseling Center. She serves children, teenagers and adults enduring mental and behavioral health difficulties as well as individuals who have gone through facets of trauma.

Ismary’s areas of specialty are emotional and behavioral challenges, parenting, difficulty adjusting to new life situations, trauma, mood disorders such as but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

Ismary utilizes multiple therapeutic modalities such as but not limited to, Therapeutic Play Techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. Ismary’s goals in therapy are to be able to work together with clients in providing tools to optimize their inner strengths and skills that they already possess in their life.
