Kara Jansen is currently earning her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She is expected to graduate in May 2022. Kara is trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy and has experience working with children in the foster care system.
Kara obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1999 and has had years of experience working with children and adolescents in a variety of settings. Kara strives to meet each client where they are and to help them to develop into a better version of themselves.
Kara aspires to create a safe, compassionate environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions. Kara values creating and maintaining a valuable therapeutic relationship with all of her clients. Kara’s treatment approaches are centered around the client’s needs and cultural values to allow them to reach toward their desired outcomes both mentally and emotionally. Kara works enthusiastically and patiently to support her clients during their self-discovery process, which will help them to achieve inner peace and stability.
