Kayla Fulbright completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Art at Florida Gulf Coast University. She is currently earning her Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Florida Gulf Coast University. She is expected to graduate in August 2021.
Kayla has experience providing individual therapy to adolescents and young adults in the Southwest Florida area. Through her employment and past internships, she has worked with those from various backgrounds and has experience working with issues ranging from suicidal thoughts to various mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Kayla’s areas of specialty include crisis intervention, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, building a reserve of healthy coping skills, and developing effective communication skills.
Kayla utilizes the therapeutic modalities of Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Kayla aspires to create a safe, compassionate environment where clients feel comfortable in expressing their thoughts and emotions. Kayla values creating and maintaining a great therapeutic relationship with all her clients. Her treatment approaches are centered around her clients’ needs and cultural values to allow them to reach their desired outcomes both mentally and emotionally. She aspires to leave clients with optimal resiliency and the confidence that they can tackle any of life’s challenges.
