Lorinda Roy, is currently earning her Master’s of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. She is expected to graduate in May 2022. She is currently working towards her certification in sand tray play therapy at the Institute of Playful Healing and her certification as a Registered Play Therapist. Lorinda is certified in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy.
In 2021 she obtained her Masters in Exceptional Student Education with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of West Florida. In 2019, Lorinda obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University and in 2007 an Associates in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Madison Area Technical College in Madison, Wisconsin. Lorinda has over 22 years of experience working with children and families, as an Early Childhood Educator, and in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Lorinda is experienced in providing grief therapy through support groups for children, play therapy, and non-directive sand tray play therapy for children and adults. In addition, she is currently working towards her certification as a Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Coach/Educator (EXAT).
