Megan Goddard, LCSW-S, RPT is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida, a Nationally Certified Registered Play Therapist, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained. She attained a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Human Services and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. In 2015 Megan co-founded Sunshine State Counseling Center in Bonita Springs, Florida. Megan has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a variety of settings including education, forensic interviewing, inpatient, residential and partial hospitalization for children and adolescents, outpatient mental health and trauma counseling, non-profit trauma and grief support groups. Megan uses multiple therapeutic modalities including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Megan works with clients to identify their personal therapeutic goals to co-create the most enriching path toward optimal health.
