Ana Hill is a State of Florida Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern. She has completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University, a Master of Arts in Micronesian Studies from the University of Guam, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Florida. During the course of her graduate study in counseling, Ana completed internships at the FGCU Community Counseling Center and Project Help, Inc. Ana has experience in working with individuals who present with a variety of challenges, including post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, grief, stressors associated with immigration adjustment, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and mid-life transitions.
Ana grew up in the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Guatemala, and Florida, and is fluent in Spanish. Ana’s counseling approach is person-centered, and she utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness, Meditation, Somatic Therapy, and Narrative Therapy in her practice. Ana is committed to helping individuals of all ages, couples, and families achieve wellness from within, and takes pride in empowering her clients toward becoming the healthiest and wisest versions of themselves. Ana is culturally sensitive and employs a holistic approach to wellness that integrates the body and the mind.
