About Yuki
I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work. Shortly after earning my Master’s degree, I became a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with the goal of providing compassionate and meaningful mental health services to individuals and families.
Since becoming a clinical social work intern, I have had the opportunity to work with teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families. I support clients as they work toward their mental health goals, whether that involves developing healthier coping skills, navigating anxiety or depression, working through recurring relationship or life challenges, adjusting to major life transitions, or simply gaining a better understanding of themselves.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gottman-informed approaches, and EMDR-informed techniques when appropriate. I believe there is more to each person than the challenges they are currently experiencing. A trauma-informed perspective allows me to look beyond the presenting concern and consider the experiences, relationships, strengths, and circumstances that have shaped who you are today.
I believe that you are the captain of your own ship, and I am here to be your guide. You know yourself better than anyone, and I believe you have the ability to discover the answers and solutions that are right for you. My role is to walk alongside you, help you better understand yourself, build the skills you need, and navigate the challenges that may be keeping you from where you want to be.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy listening to music, discovering new coffee shops, and appreciating the little things in life. I believe those small moments of joy and connection can be just as meaningful as the big ones.
I look forward to meeting you and working together toward the destination you want to reach!
