Our friendly team can help determine whether your insurance plan is accepted and answer any questions regarding eligibility, copays, deductibles, or referrals.

Please note that some insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before services can begin. Coverage and acceptance may vary depending on your specific plan and the provider you choose.

INSURANCE COVERAGE

In-Network & Out-of-Network Insurance for Mental Health Therapy

Sunshine State Counseling Center is registered as both an in-network and out-of-network provider for most major insurance carriers. We work hard to make therapy as accessible and affordable as possible.

In-Network Provider

If we are in-network with your insurance carrier, we will verify your benefits as an in-network provider as a courtesy. Please be aware that your insurance carrier may pay less than the actual bill for services received — this includes co-payments and deductibles. Any services not covered by your insurance plan remain your financial responsibility.

We strongly recommend contacting your insurance carrier prior to your first session to verify your mental health benefits, co-pay amounts, deductible status, and any pre-authorization requirements.

Out-of-Network Reimbursement

If your insurance plan offers out-of-network mental health coverage, you may be eligible for reimbursement. As a courtesy, we can provide a detailed superbill (itemized statement) for you to submit to your insurance carrier for out-of-network reimbursement. Here is how the process works:

01 Pay at Time of Service

You pay the session fee directly to Sunshine State Counseling Center at the time of your appointment.

02 We Provide a Superbill

As a courtesy, we provide a detailed superbill (itemized statement) with all the information your insurance carrier requires for reimbursement.

03 Submit to Your Insurance

You submit the superbill to your insurance carrier. If you have out-of-network mental health benefits, your insurer will reimburse you directly.

04 Receive Reimbursement

Your insurance carrier processes your claim and sends reimbursement directly to you based on your plan’s out-of-network coverage levels.
